WELCOME TO THE FIRE

We're a lighthearted RP FC, wanting to enjoy the world of FFXIV, rather than just rushing through the content and burn out at the endgame.Our aim is to be a cozy place with space to grow as characters in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We are anything but hardcore, and don't take ourselves all too serious... mostly.We welcome everyone who wishes to do some casual RP in the game, be it veterans or those who wish to dabble in creating a character for the first time. Your race, gender, sexuality and style will not be judged. We're already a very lovely ragtag group of misfits, and there's plenty of room for you as well!We stride ever forward with fire in our souls and passion in our hearts.In our basement, we host the Pecs & Purrs venue, but it's not a part of the FC as a whole.

Even when drunk on Limsa's finest stolen wine, take others into consideration. Insulting others is not tolerated, and making this place a home starts with you!No toxic behavior
No lashing out at others or trying to be master of drama. Constructive arguments/criticism is allowed if both parties are okay with it.Keep the NSFW content out of public eyes
Keep NSFW content private. While we don't promote ERP, all that happens on your own adventures is up to you, and always make sure that others are comfortable with ERP.

GUIDEBOOK

When you join the FC, someone who has been around for long will set you up for an interview to get to know you a little. It's not scary at all, nor an interrogation. We simply wish to know where you come from, and what you hope to find within our ranks.As a new member, you will receive the Kindling rank, which shows that you are new, but also gives you permission to use the chocobo stables so you and your feathery companion can get a good start with us. The stables will only be kept clean with actual chocobos in them, so don't worry about it looking uninviting at first.Over time, as we get to know you better, you will be promoted to S'more, which is our member rank. As a S'more, you can execute the available FC buffs, while having limited use of the FC chest, garden and workshop to help both yourself and your comrades out.As a member of the FC, we expect of you that you are active within the company and do your part to contribute. Be it socially or actively. We are a group, and want for everyone to be a part of what we do.Should you be exceptionally active and a good sport who has earned everyone's trust, you can be promoted to Marshmallow, which is our officer rank. This gives you further permissions to help manage the FC as a whole.In the opposite end, we have the Spark rank, which is for members who are missing in action, but always welcome back to the fire.

ROLEPLAY BOOK

First of all, you will never be required to be in character outside of designated RP events, but to some extent, you will find all of us being semi in character at all times, playing out the interests and relationships we’ve developed in and among each other.Second, you don’t have to have an elaborate backstory and full character set up when you join our RP. Feel free to stay in the background and get a feel for how we do things, and jump in whenever you want to. With a bit of time and effort, you will quickly find yourself and make personal connections to the other members.We do not speak in quotes, “so don’t feel the need to talk like this”. We already are our characters, so there is no need to put empathies on your sentences. However, while in RP, feel free to use brackets to let us know if the real you is (brb) because (someone’s at the door).Sometimes, before a map hunt or deep dungeon run, we might discuss a story or goal to work with. No matter your experience or how new you are, do voice your opinion and wishes during these talks, because you matter just as much as everyone else.While not required to, we do appreciate FC chambers to be decorated to match the characters we play. So instead of just tossing in random furniture and calling it a day, try spending a few moments reflecting on how to best represent your character in the form of a room, as we might just use it in a story or for an event.Last, but not least…Respect each other! You are not the main character in someone else’s story.

FASHION BOOK

It's up to each member to decide whether or not they want to use mods and / or plugins, and if they want to add each other on Mare. While we support individuality, we have the right to unmatch those who don't look like they belong in the world of XIV. It's all a matter of personal opinion though, since we have no syncshell, and most probably won't create one. As for NSFW looks, we endorse them as long as they don't explicitly showcase naughty bits at all times.Cheating mods and plugins that give an unfair advantage in the game are absolutely prohibited.
